According to the media bulletin issued by the Telangana Health Department, on the 28th of July, the State recorded a total of 1,610 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the State reached 57,142. Of the total, 13,753 are active cases, 42,908 are recovered or discharged cases.
A total of 15,839 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 3,79,081 tests till date.
Meanwhile, of the total samples tested on the 27th of July, results of 809 samples are awaited.
The new 1,610 cases include 531 from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 172 from Rangareddy, 152 from Warangal Urban and 113 from Medchal Malkajgiri.
The bulletin issued on Tuesday morning also included details like beds available for COVID-19 patients in government hospitals and availability of beds in private hospitals.
According to the bulletin, beds for COVID-19 patients in 55 private hospitals are listed according to 1) Regular beds 2) Oxygen beds 3) ICU beds.
As per the details in the bulletin, there were 339 ICU beds, 466 oxygen beds, and 660 regular beds vacant at the private hospitals.
The list of containment zones in GHMC, and other districts is also mentioned.
In GHMC, there are a total of 92 containment zones, 31 containment zones in Charminar, 14 in Khairatabad , 23 in Secunderabad, 10 in Srilingampally, 9 in Kukatpally, and 5 in L.B. Nagar.
