After reporting more than 500 cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19,) in a single day, the State of Telangana witnessed a decline on the 10th of July in the cases.
On Sunday evening, the 10th of July, Telangana reported 459 new cases with 468 recoveries and 0 deaths. The Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and updated about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana. The new cases were confirmed after conducting 22,193 COVID-19 tests of samples in the past 24 hours.
With this, Telangana now has 5,180 active cases, 7,96,833 are recovered/discharged cases and 4,111 are deceased.
According to sources, the highest number of cases have been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region, areas of Rangareddy, Warangal and Karimnagar. The GHMC reported the highest number of COVID-19 (343) cases in the past 24 hours, followed by Rangareddy (40) and Medchal Malkajgiri with 29 cases.
In addition, the recovery rate of Telangana improved to 98.85% and the positive COVID-19 rate is at 2.06%.
