Telangana Reports Below 200 New COVID-19 Cases With 198 Recoveries And 2 Deaths

Telangana once again reported below 200 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

On the night of the 3rd of February, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin updating about the COVID-19 situation.

In the past 24 hours, the State reported 177 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths and 198 recoveries.

Of the total 177 new cases, the highest were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 30 cases, followed by 11 each from Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, 9 each from Karimnagar, Warangal Urban and Sangareddy, 7 each from Nalgonda and Nizamabad, 6 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam and Vikarabad, 5 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Rajanna Sircilla, Peddapalli, Mancherial, Mahabubnagar and Jagtial, 4 each from Adilabad, Jangaon, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Siddipet and Warangal Rural, 3 from Nagarkurnool, 2 each from Wanaparthy and Jayashankar Bhupalpally, one from Mahabubabad.

In addition, Komarambheem Asifabad, Medak, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet and Suryapet reported zero cases of Novel Coronavirus.

With the aforementioned data, Telangana has 2,95,101 positive cases, of which 2,91,510 are recovered/discharged cases, 1,606 deceased cases and 1,985 active cases.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the 2nd and the 3rd of February, around 41,343 tests were conducted including 18,190 on primary contacts and 4,961 on secondary contacts.

The results of 177 samples turned positive and the reports of 1,323 are pending.

In addition, so far, 79,96,651 people were tested for the Novel Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, with this, the recovery rate of Telangana is more than 98 % in the State and fatality rate is below 0.50 %.
