Telangana Reports More Than 1,500 COVID-19 Cases, Recovery Rate At 91 %

Till the 7th of November, Telangana recorded 2,48,891 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

In the past 24 hours, the State recorded 1,607 new Coronavirus positive cases, 6 new deaths and 937 recoveries.

Of the new 1,607 new COVID-19 cases, the highest was reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 296 cases, followed by Bhadradri Kothagudem (124,) 115 from Rangareddy, 113 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 84 from Khammam, 78 from Karimnagar, 69 from Siddipet and 67 from Nalgonda.

The remaining cases were 48 from Warangal Urban, 46 from Suryapet, 43 from Nagarkurnool, 42 from Jagtial, 41 from Sangareddy, 37 from Mulugu, 30 each from Kamareddy, Sircilla and Mancherial, 29 from Yadadri Bhongir, 28 from Mahabubabad, 26 from Peddapalli, 25 from Warangal Rural, 23 from Nizamabad, 22 from Wanaparthy, 21 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 19 from Medak, 16 each from Nirmal and Vikarabad, 14 from Adilabad and 9 from Jogulamba Gadwal.

In addition, between the 6th and the 7th of November, as many as 44,444 samples were tested for Novel Coronavirus, of which results of 535 cases are awaited.

The cumulative total of samples tested till the 7th of November stood at 45.75 lakhs.

With these updates, Telangana has 2,48,891 positive cases, of which 19,936 are active cases, 2,27,583 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,372 are deceased.

Telangana has 91.43 % COVID-19 recovery rate and 0.54 % fatality rate.

In addition, the State Government is concerned of a second wave of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. In the past three days, the State is again witnessing more than 1,500 cases whereas the recovery cases reduced to below 1,000.

In regard to this, the Telangana Health Department asked people to be cautious during festival season (Diwali) and winters. The citizens of Telangana are also advised to follow all the guidelines of the Novel Coronavirus and prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
