The Wuhan virus, also known as COVID-19 cases, are constantly rising in the Telugu State of Telangana. On the 11th of January, Tuesday, the State reported 1,920 new cases of the Wuhan virus.
On the evening of Tuesday, the Telangana Health Department, released a health bulletin and confirmed 1,920 new cases, 2 fatalities and 417 recoveries from the deadly virus. The new figures of the Wuhan virus were confirmed after the State Health Department conducted 83,153 tests for COVID-19. Of the total tests conducted, 1,920 tested positive, higher than Monday’s 1,825 new cases and results of 15,969 people are awaited.
In addition, of the total cases, the highest number of Wuhan virus cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 1,015 positive infections. Besides GHMC, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts also reported 205 and 159 cases, respectively.
With this, Telangana has 6,97,775 positive cases, of which 6,77,234 recovered/discharged, 16,496 are active cases and 4,045 are deceased cases, till date.
On the other hand, not only Wuhan virus cases, but its new variant Omicron is also rapidly rising in the Telugu State.
