On Thursday, the 18th of November, Telangana reported 144 new cases of the Wuhan virus (the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) Besides 144 new cases, the State witnessed 1 death and 161 recoveries.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting 35,659 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection. The Telangana State Health Department conducted the fewer number of COVID-19 cases, compared to the previous 40,000 to 44,000 tests. With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2.81 crores COVID-19 tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) is the only area, which reports more than 50 cases regularly. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 54 new COVID-19 cases.
With this, Telangana now has 6,74,181 positive cases, of which 3,740 are active cases, 6,66,509 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,974 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.86% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past five months at 0.58 %.
