The Bodh Gaya District Administration announced a mandatory RT PCR test for the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) to meet Dalai Lama.
On the 26th of December, Monday, five foreigners who came to Bodh Gaya to attend the religious Kaal Chakra Puja tested positive for the Wuhan Virus. Concerned about the same, the district administration asked the Dalai Lama Trust to make the COVID-19 test mandatory for those wanting to meet the Tibetian Spiritual leader Dalai Lama.
As per the directive of the district administration, any devotee who wants to meet the Tibetan spiritual leader has to undergo an RT PCR test and will be allowed only after his or her report returns negative. The district administration has constituted a dedicated medical team which would be available at the Tibetan monastery.
It is to be noted, Dalai Lama is in Bodh Gaya for Kaal Chakra Puja, a one month event. Furthermore, Dalai Lama is scheduled to give a spiritual speech from the 29th of December till the 31st of December.
