Bollywood actor late Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case investigation is underway with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED.)

Following up the First Information of Report (FIR) filed by the Bihar Police, the ED called Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showmik Chakraborty for an questioning round.

Both the actor and her brother reached the ED office on the morning of the 10th of August.

This is the second time Ms. Rhea and Mr. Showmik were called for the enquiry related to Sushant’s death case and money laundering case filed against Rhea Chakraborty.

According to sources, Sushant’s father K.K. Singh filed a money laundering of Rs. 50 crores case against Rhea Chakraborty.

The actor was accompanied by her brother Showik Chakraborty.

Rhea Chakraborty’s previous questioning with the ED went on for nearly eight hours. Rhea’s father Indrajit Chakraborty is also likely to be questioned by the ED officials later today, the 10th of August.

The ED had questioned Rhea once on Saturday following which she was called back on the 10th of August.

The ED’s line of questioning is based on her expenses, income, businesses professionals and investments.

According to the ED, Ms. Rhea was linked to a property purchase in the Khar area and Navi Mumbai.

The Agency sources said they “want more answers” from Rhea over the alleged mismatch between her income, expenditure and investments.

They said while Chakraborty has filed Income Tax Returns stating an income of about Rs. 14 lakhs, the value of her investments is reportedly higher than the income and income tax.

Ms. Rhea told the agency, she had made the property investments from her income, savings and took a few bank loans.

Her lawyer Satish Maneshinde had said Rhea is a law abiding citizen and would cooperate with the probe.   Ms. Chakraborty recently filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) demanding the CBI probe to be stopped.

The hearing regarding the filed petition would be heard on the 11th of August.

Stay tuned for further updates.
