Mumbai: The “Aashiqui” couple, Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, is gearing up to recreate the magic moments of Mani Ratnam’s “OK Kanmani” on Bollywood screens. The romantic drama will be directed by Mani Ratnam’s former associate Shaad Ali.
The buzz says that the stars were approached by the makers of the film and they duo is yet to take the decision. Earlier, Alia and Varun Dhawan were considered for the lead pair but it didn’t work out as they are busy with other projects. Aditya and Sonakshi Sinha were also considered for the role but things didn’t go well. Finally, the reports says that Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen romancing Shraddha Kapoor in the remake version of “OK Kanmani”.
“OK Kanmani” aka “O Kadhal Kanmani” set silver screens ablaze with the engaging chemistry of Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen, who played lead roles in the picture. Rahman’s wonderful tunes added more colour to the beautiful cinema. The songs composed by Oscar-winner Rahman will be retained for the remake one.
Still there is no official announcement in the casting of Hindi version. But according to the talk of the town, the couple are expected to sign the dotted line. If all goes well, the duo might romance once again.
