Bengaluru: Kannada super star Kichcha Sudeep and his wife Priya Radhakrishnan filed for divorce by mutual consent in the family court on Friday in Bengaluru. The couple tied the knot in 2001 and was also blessed with a daughter Saanvi.
The actor gave his sister the power of attorney to submit to the court on his behalf, according to reports. It is heard that the Sudeep has agreed to pay Rs 19 crore compensation to Priya and the couple has been mutual agreed that Priya will have custody of Saanvi.
The Kannada film industry is abuzz with reports that Sudeep is parting ways with his wife. Gossip mills are churning overtime that the actor has an affair with a Kannada heroine.
When asked about his divorce, he replied that it is his personal problem and everyone has a problem so he can’t comment on it. He added not to blow it out of proportion.
