Angry Indian Goddesses: Director Pan Nalin Receives Threats

Mumbai: Filmmaker of much-talked-about movie “Angry Indian Goddesses”, Pan Nalin, is receiving threats for the content, he portrayed on the screens. The director claimed that he has been getting threatening messages and calls against the film.

In a statement, Pan Nalin said, “I will not allow (myself) to be terrorised by messages and calls I have been receiving like, ‘How dare you blaspheme Hinduism through Angry Indian Goddesses? We will make sure you go Charlie Hebdo way!'” or another one goes ‘What did you achieve by showing these non-Sanskari Indians!’ I need not say anything more.”

Since the release of the film, the director is reportedly receiving threats as a few sections of the society found the film inappropriate.

“Angry Indian Goddesses” is all about the seven girls and their journeys. The movie opened in packed houses on December 4 and bagged enormous credit with positive word of mouth and encouraging reviews.
