The latest edition of James Bond series is getting all geared up for the world wide release. After the initial speculation over who would be doing the honors – Ellie Goulding? Lana Del Rey? Ed Sheeran? Adele, again?
After so much hype and Drama the Team Bond has announced that Sam Smith will be singing the theme (Writings on the Wall) for 24th Bond film, Spectre.
Since the day of announcement, a lot of buzz is going around in the Hollywood circles about the ‘Writings on the Wall’ as it becomes the first Bond theme to be written by a British male solo artist since 1965.
Sam Smith’s song for the upcoming Spectre was released Friday morning London time.
Written by Smith and Jimmy Napes, with production work by the British dance duo Disclosure, “Writing’s on the Wall” becomes the first Bond theme to be written by a British male solo artist since 1965.
Sam Smith with this new song will be contending for the number one spot in the U.K. singles charts against Justin Bieber. Spectre opens nationwide in the U.K. on Oct. 26 and in the U.S. Nov. 6.
