Baahubali 2 postponed to 2017

The audience have to wait till 2017 to know why to know why Kattappa killed Baahubali as the release of the second part of film-maker S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali-The Conclusion have been postponed. Baahubali 2 is scheduled to hit the big screens in 2017, January.

According to media reports, “The film will now not release in December as planned. It will release in January 2017 instead.”

Baahubali, stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia will retain the same star cast in the sequel that was earlier expected to release late next year.

Mr Rajamouli, in October 2015, had mentioned on Twitter that: “This story will conclude with the second part itself. But Baahubali 3 will be done in a way that the audience have never experienced films before.”

The first part of the epic drama, Baahubali – the Beginning, released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in July 2015 and scored more than Rs 200 crores worldwide within five days of its release. With Rs 500 crores at the Indian box office, it also ranks as the country’s biggest hit so far.
