Mumbai: Bhojpuri actor Shayam Charan Yadav and a producer were arrested by the Mira road police on Friday morning for allegedly raping a 42-year-old Pakistani actress. On Thursday night, the actress filed a complaint against the actor. She also added that he cheated her.
The police arrested the actor at his residence under the sections 376, 417 and 420, 504, 506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. A search operation is also launched for two other accused – Bablu Rai and Tiger, who are residents of Vapi.
According to reports, since 2012 the actress and the accused know each other. It is heard that she met the actor at an event of a film and they became friends. Then, he made a small budget movie with the actress. Later, Yadav allegedly lured the actress to make a film and took Rs 35.80 lakh from her. But still, the movie was never finished. The actress added that she realized that Yadav cheated her and started for asking her money back.
The actor avoided her at first and then he allegedly took the help of Bablu and Tiger to threaten her, according to the complainant. In her complaint, she said that Yadav had raped her at Sona Lodge in Mira Road. She also claimed that she had physical relations with Yadav and she was forced every time. The actress was sent for a medical and the reports are yet to come.
