Chennai: Actor Jayam Ravi’s recent sensation “Thani Oruvan” is ‘Talk of the Town’. Many Tollywood and Bollywood filmmakers are trying their best to bag the remake rights of the movie. A special screening was arranged for Bollywood super star Salman Khan on Wednesday in Mumbai.
It is heard that Salman has shown keen interest in the film and might acquire the remake rights. Insiders say Salman is gearing up to produce the movie under his home banner and also might act in the lead role in Bollywood. The sources also added that director Mohan Raja will direct the Hindi version as well. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
According to reports, Salman was impressed with the script and is excited to work on the remake version. “Thani Oruvan” is creating ripples at the box office and recreating the records. Besides Bollywood, the movie makers of Tollywood are also vying for the remake rights of film. If all goes well, one of the top stars of Telugu film industry will play the lead role and Mohan Raja will direct the remake version.
Starring Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy and Nayantara in lead roles, “Thani Oruvan” is all about a conflict between good and bad. Jayam Ravi played the role of an idealist police officer and Arvind Swamy also impressed the audience with his businessman role.
