Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been granted parole again for his daughter’s nose surgery. The actor was convicted in the Mumbai serial blasts of 1993 case and is in Yerwada Central Jail. He has been allowed out on a parole for a month because of the surgery.
Two days back, Pune Divisional Commissioner’s office sanctioned the 30 day parole application. The parole can be extended by 60 more days. In the last week of of July, the counsel of Sanjay Dutt has applied for the parole to the State Home Department.
Sanjay was granted leave from the prison in December 2014. Later his extension was also rejected. Mr. Dutt was found guilty in 2013 of acquiring illegal weapons in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. Nearly 257 people were killed and several others injured in the serial blasts. He was sentenced to six years in jail and also served 18 months of imprisonment.
