Hyderabad: An acclaimed movie maker of Telugu film industry, Edida Nageswara Rao passed away at a private hospital in the city on Sunday. He was 81. He is survived by wife and a son.
A week ago, Mr Nageswara Rao was admitted to a hospital for old age related ailments. He breathed his last on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the hospital. According to reports, the last rites will be conducted today Mahaprasthanam crematorium in the evening.
The noted movie maker was born on April 24, 1934 in Kotha Peta, East Godavari. He producing several blockbusters in Tollywood. His films include – “Sankarabharanam”, “Swati Mutyam”,”Swayam Krushi” and others under the banner of Poornodaya Movie Creations. His films also won National awards. He was also nominated for the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award.
