In regard to this, the Batman Twitter page recently reached out to Justin Kroll, a reporter from Variety. Kroll has provided reliable news in the past about the movie business and is more accurate than a few renowned websites.
Kroll gave positive update and said that both Affleck and Toby Emmerich, the President and the Chief Content Officer are very happy with the script. But with the actors having prior commitments for Summer and with no director on board, the movie doesn’t start shooting till the Fall which might postpone the release date from 2018 to 2019.
