It’s that time of the year again! The Academy Award nominations are out and we have some records broken. “La La Land” swept 14 nominations across the categories including Best Picture, Best Director (Damien Chazelle), Best Actor (Ryan Gosling) and Best Actress (Emma Stone.)
Meryl Streep became the first ever individual to be nominated 20 times for the Oscars. She is nominated for Best Actress for her performance in “Florence Foster Jenkins”. She celebrated this by posting a GIF of hers.
A.R. Rahman missed the final nominations for Oscars again in the Original Score category for his work in the film “Pele: Birth of a Legend”. But we still look forward to many great efforts being seen on the 89th feature of the Oscar awards that will take place in Los Angeles on February 22nd, 2017.
