In breaking news, the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court acquitted Bollywood actor Suraj Pancholi.
On the 28th of April, Friday, the Court announced its verdict in the decade long (10 years) old suicide case of Bollywood actress Jia Khan. In 2013, Bollywood actress and Houseful fame Jia Khan allegedly committed suicide, and was found dead at her Juhu Apartment, in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
After her death, the Mumbai Police received a six pages suicide note, in which Jia Khan accused her the then boyfriend Suraj Pancholi, of torturing her, physically abusing her and calling her dirty names. Based on the letter, the police arrested Pancholi, who was in the Mumbai jail for 22 days.
Later, the actor was granted bail by the Bombay High Court. Furthermore, after the appeal of Rabia Khan, the mother of Jia Khan, moved the Bombay High Court and demanded for a CBI investigation into the matter.
In addition, after a series of trials and detailed investigation, the CBI in the last hearing submitted the report to the special CBI Court, which reserved its verdict for the 28th of April.
Now, after the CBI court acquitted the actor, Suraj Pancholi (32 years) old is now free in the matter.
