Navjot Singh Sidhu Unwell, PM Narendra Modi Wishes A Speedy Recovery

Mumbai: Former cricketer and BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu was hospitalized. On Wednesday, he was admitted to a private hospital and is undergoing treatment for acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

A statement issued by the hospital says, “Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Delhi today evening with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is a life threatening condition if not treated on time. Mr Sidhu has been put on blood thinners and has been recovering well. His condition is said to be stable as of now.”

On Twitter, Navjot Singh Sidhu wrote, “Down but Not Out! Life threatening disease (DVT) With God ‘s Grace will recover. Life is Fragile, handle with Prayer.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter and wished him a speedy recovery. Mr Modi wrote, “Dear @sherryontopp ji, get well soon. You are a fighter & will overcome the illness in your trademark style. Our prayers are with you.”
