Mumbai: Rajshri Productions confirmed that there are no plans of directing a sequel to Bollywood blockbuster “Hum Aapke Hai Koun”. P K Gupta, the General Manager of Rajshri Productions, said that as of now there are no plans of making a sequel of “Hum Aapke Hain Koun” and there is nothing like that on cards. He added the reports are just rumours.
There were reports in the industry that makers of “Hum Aapke Hai Koun” are planning a sequel and actor Ranbir Kapoor will star in a lead role in the sequel.
Starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles, the romantic drama “Hum Aapke Hai Koun” is one of the all time favourite hits of B-Town. The music also tugged the heartstrings of the audience and made the film more prominent on silver screens. Directed by Soorja R Barjatya, the super hit film stole millions of hearts. Both Soorja and Salman last worked together in film “Hum Saath Saath Hain” in 1999.
At present, Salman is busy shooting for his upcoming movie “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”. Actress Sonam Kapoor has been roped in opposite Salman for the first time in the upcoming film. Gupta added that the regular shooting is underway with rapid pace and have completed 80 per cent of the shoot. Only a song sequence and a few scenes are pending. Makers are expecting to complete the shoot in over two months and the movie might hit screens during Diwali.
