Chennai: The early morning shows and the overseas premiere of the most-anticipated Tamil film “Puli” were cancelled. The reason behind the cancellation is still unknown. Earlier, on shows were slated on 4 am and 5 am in cinemas on Thursday but cancelled.
The reports stated that the theatre representatives even they were not sure and are waiting for go ahead from Qube to release the film. It is heard that the movie makers of “Puli” are yet to get clearance from the Qube.
The reports also added that the producers of “Puli” are yet to clear the dues to Qube and the movie will be screened once the makers settle the issue.
On the other hand, reports also surfaced that the IT raid on the financier and makers of the fantasy drama is another reason behind the delay.
The film is expected to get clearance from noon onwards but still there is no official confirmation, as per reports.
Directed by Chimbu Deven, the movie stars Vijay in a lead role. The film also features Shruti Haasan, Sudeep, Hansika Motwani, Sridevi and others in major roles.
