Hyderabad: Akhil Akkineni seems to be super careful with his next project as his much-hyped debut movie titled “Akhil” failed to impress the audience. The Telugu film industry was excited to welcome the star kid to the Tollywood screens but the movie was a dud at the box office. Now, the actor is very careful in choosing the perfect script for his next film.
Many names of the directors including Krish, Sreenu Vaitla and Deva Katta are doing rounds in the town for directing the second movie of Akhil. But, now the latest buzz is that the debut director Kalyan Krishna, who shot to fame with Nagarjuna’s “Soggade Chinni Nayana”, is in talks with the Akhil for the forthcoming drama.
If reports are to be believed, Nagarjuna is very much impressed with the work of the Kalyan and has shouldered the responsibility of Akhil’s next to him. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
On the other hand, Kalyan’s recent film “Soggade Chinni Nayana” emerged as a super hit in the Pongal race with good collections. Starring Nagarjuna in a dual role, the movie bagged encouraging reviews. The film also features Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Thripati in female lead roles.
