Chennai: Kollywood’s recent sensation “Thani Oruvan” is all set for a Tollywood remake. While all other movie makers of major languages are vying for the remake rights of the film, an acclaimed producer of Telugu film industry bagged the rights of the mind racing thriller.
Ace movie maker DVV Danayya bagged the remake rights of the blockbuster movie for a whopping amount of Rs 5.5 crore, according to reports.
Earlier, gossip mills are churning that mega power star Ram Charan will be playing the lead role in the film as a police officer. Now it is confirmed.
It is heard that nothing has been finalized yet regarding the cast and crew. Director Surender Reddy will direct the Telugu version. If everything falls in place, the regular shooting will commence soon. The film did extremely well at box office and has grossed over Rs. 70 crore worldwide.
“Thani Oruvan” is an action-packed entertainer starring Jayam Ravi in a major role as a cop and Nayanthara opposite him in a romantic lead role. Actor Arvind Swamy played an important role in the picture.
