Hyderabad: The pre-production for Ram Charan’s next film has kick-started. The yet-to-be-titled drama is an official remake of Tamil’s latest sensation “Thani Oruvan” and stars mega power star Ram Charan in a lead role. Tollywood’s ace producer DVV Danayya bagged the remake rights of the film in Telugu for a whopping amount.
Director Surender Reddy, who tasted success with “Race Gurram”, is all set to direct the action thriller in Tollywood. At present, the film is in scripting stage. Surender Reddy, Ram Charan and other few writers are busy in the discussion of script. The makers are yet to announce the name of the female lead in the movie.
Directed by Mohan Raja, “Thani Oruvan” is a Tamil drama starring Jayam Ravi in a lead role. Actress Nayantara played the romantic lead role opposite Ravi the mind racing thriller. Actor Arvind Swamy was also seen playing major in the super hit flick.
Currently, Ram Charan is awaiting the release of his upcoming “Bruce Lee”. Sreenu Vaitla’s directorial stars Rakul Preet Singh opposite Ram Charan. The film is slated for a release on October 16, 2015.
