Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor starrer “Udta Punjab” made headlines when the censor board has asked the movie makers to make 89 cuts in the film and also asked to remove “Punjab” from the title “Udta Punjab” to release the movie with an ‘A’ rating.
This created a stir in the B-Town and the celebrities voiced their opinion about the issue. One of the producers of the “Udta Punjab”, Anurag Kashyap tweeted, “I always wondered what it felt like to live in North Korea .. Ab to plane pakadney ki bhi zaroorat nahin..”
Actor Arjun Kapoor took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “U know a lot of people in our fraternity speak up for other causes, it’s time we stood up for our own. #UdtaPunjab deserves a proper release.”
Cricketer Harbhajan Singh tweeted, “Nt a movie buff bt if #UdtaPunjab showing rightly whats happening in punjab what’s wrong with it then ? We want our punjab drug free state.”

Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “Govt which wants to ban Udta Punjab shud realise that by banning a Udta film they actually trying to ban Udta truth.”
