Nellore, April 28: TDP National President and former Chief Minister,  Chandrababu Naidu, criticized Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for allegedly spreading misinformation regarding the revocation of Muslim reservations if the NDA comes to power. Addressing a gathering of Muslim brethren in Nellore on Sunday, Naidu clarified that the TDP, unlike the YSRCP, supports the amendment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Parliament.

Dispelling rumors of scrapping Muslim reservations, Naidu assured financial aid of Rs 1 lakh to every Muslim undertaking the Haj pilgrimage under the NDA’s governance. He highlighted the TDP’s contributions to the Muslim community, including the establishment of a Haj House and the recognition of Rotiyan ki Eid as a state festival.

Naidu criticized Jagan’s governance, contrasting it with the TDP’s development-oriented approach. He lamented the rise in attacks on Muslim women during Jagan’s rule, citing an incident in Nandikotkur as an example.

Emphasizing the importance of a people-friendly administration, Naidu urged the Muslim community to consider the TDP’s track record of inclusive governance and welfare measures. He underscored the TDP’s role in establishing Urdu University and constructing Haj Houses during its tenure, reaffirming the party’s commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of all citizens.
