Amaravathi: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday directed officials to work diligently to fulfill the election promise of providing 20 lakh jobs and other employment opportunities in various sectors within five years.

During a review meeting at the State Secretariat with officials from Skill Training, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Industries, and SERF departments, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to provide industries with skilled human resources that meet their specific requirements.

Chandrababu Naidu believes that skill development holds immense potential for creating large-scale employment opportunities. He also expressed a strong preference for promoting work-from-home options through hybrid systems.

Officials were instructed to establish training centers in collaboration with multinational companies and explore employment opportunities in flood-affected areas, in response to appeals from victims seeking job prospects within their local communities.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of focusing on rural areas for achieving better results, as many people have been confined to their villages due to various reasons. He urged both the government and industrialists to work together to create employment opportunities in these regions.

Officials were directed to present an action plan for providing employment opportunities at the next meeting. The meeting was attended by officials from relevant departments and several industrialists.
