Amaravati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has urged people, party workers, and leaders to refrain from touching his feet, stating it goes against good cultural values. During a meeting at the party’s state headquarters in Mangalagiri on Sunday, Naidu emphasized that reverence should be reserved for parents, teachers, and God, not political leaders.
Naidu specifically advised politicians to abandon this practice and directly appealed to the public to honor his request. He warned that if anyone continues to bow at his feet despite his plea, he will reciprocate by kneeling at their feet.
The Chief Minister called for self-respect in all actions and requested cooperation with his appeal. During the event, Naidu also received donations for Amaravati’s construction and grievances from the public.
