Hyderabad: A crucial meeting between Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and prominent film industry personalities is scheduled for Thursday. This meeting gains significance in the aftermath of the Sandhya Theater stampede and actor Allu Arjun’s recent controversy. The agenda includes discussions on the development of the film industry, recent incidents, and regulatory measures.
Film Development Corporation (FAC) Chairman Dil Raju confirmed the meeting after consulting the Chief Minister. Speaking to the media, Dil Raju stated that the meeting would begin at 10 a.m. and will also include Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister for Roads, Buildings, and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and other officials.
The Chief Minister had earlier addressed the Legislative Assembly, emphasizing the government’s support for the film industry while prioritizing public safety. He referenced the Sandhya Theater tragedy and reiterated the government’s firm stance on preventing risks to the lives of the underprivileged.
Financial Aid for Stampede Victim
Pushpa-2 producer Ravi Shankar, Allu Aravind, and Dil Raju visited Kim’s Hospital to check on Sritej, a stampede victim. Allu Aravind handed over a ₹2 crore cheque to FAC Chairman Dil Raju to support Sritej’s family, contributed by Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, and Mythri Movie Makers.
