Mumbai: On Friday morning, four railway labourers were killed after being run over by a local train. The incident occurred at around 6.30 am on Friday between the Ghatkopar and Vidyavihar railway stations on the Central line, according to officials.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rupali Ambure said that the incident took place when they were crossing the railway tracks. The deceased were contract labourers and were run over by a Karjat-CST local train. The labourers were shifted to a hospital and they were declared dead at the hospital. A police investigation has been launched.
