Amaravati: In a significant move, the government has decided to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) alongside the Mega DSC. The Education Department has issued an order canceling the previous government’s DSC notification, which announced only 6,100 teacher posts. In contrast, the new coalition government has announced a Mega DSC with 16,347 posts.
This decision addresses the concerns of students who completed BED and DED courses but did not qualify in the TET conducted in February and March. The government aims to give these candidates another opportunity by conducting TET along with the Mega DSC.
Applications for both TET and Mega DSC will be accepted simultaneously, with minor date adjustments. TET will be conducted first, followed by a 30-day preparation period for DSC. The officials have completed the preparations to announce the Mega DSC and TET on July 1. Candidates who applied for the previous DSC will not need to pay additional fees but must reapply.
This integrated approach aims to streamline the recruitment process and provide ample opportunities for aspiring teachers to secure positions in the education sector.
