On Tuesday two buildings collapsed in Greater Noida killing three people. The incident occurred at 9:30 P.M., at the Shahberi Village in Noida. The Police have detained the builder and the property dealer for questioning.
The rescue team managed to pull out three people who were rushed to a hospital. A six storey building under construction collapsed and fell on a four storey building. The four storey building was home to 18 families.
A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was called in from Ghaziabad to help with the rescue operation. Initial reports suggest the building was illegally being constructed under the nose of the District Administration.
Many people are still stuck under the rubble but chances of survival are scarce. The NDRF along with a dog squad is undertaking the rescue operation. The police have arrested three people involved in illegally constructing the building.
