The Hyderabad Police have been searching for a 10th class student from Bhashyam School, Poornima Sai. Even after a week of searching the police have not been able to find any clues to her whereabouts.
On June 7th, Poorima from Bhashyam School at Nizampet area left her home and never returned. Her parents filed a missing report at the Bachupally police station after their daughter did not return home.
Bachupally police Inspector, K. Balakrishna reported on the case, “We suspected that it could be due to pressure from the school and her parents, but academically, the girl performed above average only and was not a poor student.”
The Inspector also explained that they girl deleted his digital footprint before she left. He said, “She mainly used WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. She deleted and deactivated everything, including the call logs. We are trying to recover some of the deleted data for more clues.”
The investigation began immediately and the police went to the girl’s school and spoke to her friends. They read their WhatsApp chats with Poornima but nothing suspicious has been found.
Poornima’s neighbors and friends outside school were contacted but they were clueless about the girl’s disappearance.
On Monday, the police dispatched 14 special teams across the city on a lookout for Poornima. The police have also been sent to bus stops and railway stations.
A missing post has been posted on social media by the Cyberabad police. The post says, “She is moving in Hyderabad and Rachakonda and Cyberabad Commissionerate areas. Dressed in black color leggings and an ash color T shirt, she is around 5 feet tall, and wears glasses. She can speak Telugu and English fluently. The missing girl’s parents are deeply depressed.”
