Tadepalli: Leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Andhra Pradesh, including President Mohammad Rafique and General Secretary Kareemuddin, met YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the party’s central office in Tadepalli to express their gratitude for his strong opposition to the Wakf Amendment Bill – 2024 in both houses of Parliament.
During the meeting, the JIH leaders presented a memorandum outlining their concerns regarding the bill, which they believe could negatively impact the rights and management of Wakf properties. YS Jagan reassured them that the YSR Congress Party would continue to support and protect the interests of the Wakf and the minority community in the state.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Amzad Basha, former AP Haj Committee Chairman Ghouse Lajam, and other key figures including Muneer Basha, Ibadullah, and Mushahid Baig also attended the meeting, expressing their appreciation for the party’s stance on the issue.
YS Jagan’s commitment to safeguarding minority rights and religious properties has been a key aspect of his leadership, and this meeting further solidified his position as a strong advocate for the welfare of all communities in Andhra Pradesh.
