Tangdhar: The Indian army camps at Jammu and Kashmir woke up with sounds of bullets when three or four terrorist entered the LoC. The army at Jammu and Kashmir witnessed firing attack today morning around 7:40.
Heavy firing was on at the army base in Tangdhar near the border at J&K after an attack by group of heavily armed terrorist early morning.
Around 7:40 three to four terrorist positioned themselves at a mountainous ridge near the camp, located near the Line of Control. The terrorists also threw grenades. An army oil depot caught fire.

The army has launched a counter offensive. There are about 80 soldiers in the base.
As per the Army sources the terrorists have been firing from a distance. There are no reports of casualties. An army officer and a civilian killed in the operation.
About 100 km away in Manigah in Kupwara, anti-terror operations have been on for about two weeks. Last week, 38-year-old army colonel Santosh Mahadik was killed in an encounter with terrorists in the region.
