Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake Jolts Disaster-Hit Ecuador

Another powerful earthquake with magnitude 6.0 jolted the coast of Ecuador on Thursday. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), days after the massive earthquake with magnitude 7.8 hit Ecuador on Saturday, another quake rocked the region amid recovery efforts. Nearly 587 people were killed in the disaster.

Ecuador Earthquake: Death toll rises to 246 over 2,500

The quake was centered some 33.0 kilometers (20.5 miles) north-northwest of Bahia de Caraquez and some 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the city of Portoviejo with a depth of 10 kilometers.
