NIA Conducts Raids Across Delhi And UP, Five arrested as NIA conducts raids, National Investigation Agency conducted multiple raids, Mango News, new ISIS module in Delhi And Uttara Pradesh, New ISIS module traced, 5 arrested in NIA raids, terrorists hiding in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted multiple raids, today, across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, in search of a new ISIS module.

The NIA received information about terrorists hiding across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, following which, it, along with Uttar Pradesh’s Anti Terror Squad (ATS,) launched a joined operation.

According to the information received by the NIA, a terror group, Harkat Ul Harb e Islam, is linked with the new ISIS module.

The officials are conducting raids since today morning, at 16 locations across Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. A spokesperson of the NIA said, the searches are underway.

During the raids, a total of five people, allegedly connected with the terror group, were arrested in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh.

Asim Arun, the Inspector General of Police of the ATS, confirmed the detention of all the five accused. Among the five, one, who was identified as the leader of the group, was arrested at a madrasa in Amroha.

The group is suspected to be active since the last six months and has approximately 20 members. The group was planning to execute a blast in north India, especially Delhi. Mr. Arun also said, some explosive materials were recovered from the searches.

The officials charged the accused under terror related activities and are interrogating them. However, the rest of the group members are still hiding and the raids are still going on.
