In yet another case of ceasefire violation, Pakistan fired across the Line of Control for the second time in two days. The attack happened in Shahpur Kerni area of Poonch in Jammu today.
The ceasefire violation resulted in injuring one woman, who has been identified as Shahnaz Akhtar.
Pakistan troops used small arms and 82 mm mortar in the attack. The Indian Army has retaliated and as of now no injuries or casualties have been reported.
On June 1st, Pakistan troops started indiscriminate firing of 82 mm and 120 mm mortars along with small arms and automatic fire. This attack was carried out near the LoC in Naushera sector of Rajouri district, in Krishna Ghati sector.
The firing at Poonch is on at present and the Indian Army is being strong and very effective.
Shahnaz Akhtar was injured when a Pakistani shell hit her house, seriously injuring her. The woman was immediately rushed to a hospital in Poonch.
