Shortly after the news of N. Harikrishna’s death was released, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu rushed to Nalgonda district. N. Harikrishna, son of NTR died after his SUV crashed into the divider at the district.
Harikrishna was Mr. Naidu’s brother in law and died after succumbing to severe chest and head injuries. Mr. Harikrishna’s sons Junior NTR and Kalyanram were the first to reach Kamineni Hospital where his body was kept. The two sons who already lost a brother in a road accident were broken to see their father’s lifeless body.
Harikrishna’s remaining family has also reached the hospital to claim the body. CM Naidu along with his son Nara Lokesh took a helicopter from Vijayawada.
In a statement, grieving the loss of his brother in law, Naidu said, “Beginning as a child artist, Harikrishna donned many roles in Telugu movies and endeared himself to people. As a political leader too, he rendered commendable services. His tragic death is a deep loss to the TDP and the state.”
Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy, leader of the opposition also condoled the loss. Reddy tweeted, “Shocked at the sudden demise of Nandamuri Harikrishna. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family members.”
Tollywood actor Jagapati Babu also arrived at the hospital to pay his respects to Harikrishna. Many politicians and celebrities took to Twitter to condole the loss of a Tollywood actor and politician.
