Delhi: In an interesting development, supreme court chief justice D Y Chandrachud and other senior judges felicitated the daughter of a chef working at the apex court. Pragya (25) daughter of chef Ajay Kumar Samal achieved masters admission with a scholarship at Michigan University California.
The Chief justice along with other judges gathered at the Judge’s lounge at SC on Wednesday morning before the commencement of the proceedings and congratulated Pragya. Judges appreciated Pragya and facilitated her parents.
Chandrachud hoped that Pragya would return back to India to serve the legal system after completing her masters in the USA. SC judges gifted her three books written about the constitution of India with their signatures on the covers. SC staff appreciated Pragya with applause.
Pragya and her parents were overwhelmed by the gesture of the judges and thanked them for their support. Pragya said that she worked hard with passion and dedication to achieve this.
