Sheena Bora case: Peter Mukerjea sent to judicial custody till December 14

Mumbai: On Tuesday, Peter Mukherjea, husband of prime accused Indrani Mukherjea, was sent to judicial custody till December 14 by a court in connection with the murder case of Sheena Bora. Magistrate N B Shinde said that the Peter, who was arrested on November 19, is remanded in the judicial custody till December 14. Kavita Patil, CBI counsel, informed court that the investigation is completed for now and he may be remanded in the custody.

A polygraph test was conducted on Peter on Saturday and Sunday. The CBI on Monday had secured his custody for one more day by saying that it needs to ascertain other relevant facts if he had made any deceptive reply during the test. The court was also informed by the agency that it is looking for information from the Interpol on the details of a bank account of Indrani Mukherjea, who is opened the account in Hong Kong.

The 24-year-old Sheena Bora was killed in a car and then her body was burnt and dumped in a jungle in Raigad. Sheena’s mother Indrani is the prime accused in the case. Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai have been arrested in the case.
