Suicide bomber kills 11 in eastern Afghanistan

Kabul: At least 11 people were killed in a suicide bomber attack, including an Afghan militia commander, on Saturday in the eastern province of Kunar near the border with Pakistan. Nearly 40 others were injured the attack. The wounded were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.

Provincial Governor Wahidullah Kalimzai said that the bomber blew himself up after reaching the government compound in the town of Asadabad on a motocycle. Till now, no one claimed the responsibility of the attack. More details are awaited soon.
