Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced a pivotal decision to address ongoing issues and challenges in the film industry. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the formation of a ministerial sub-committee to study and recommend solutions for the industry’s development.
The sub-committee will analyze key aspects of the industry, including measures to promote growth, guidelines for managing additional shows, and strategies for revising ticket rates. A comprehensive report will be prepared and submitted to the state government, which will take necessary actions based on its recommendations.
The CM also urged the film industry to form its own committee to work in collaboration with the ministerial sub-committee. Industry representatives are expected to submit their suggestions and insights to ensure that the solutions are well-rounded and effective.
This initiative comes in the wake of increasing challenges in the industry, including recent controversies over ticket pricing and safety concerns.
