Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said that Telangana state got freedom from the dictator rule and people of Telangana state gave a clear mandate and stated that they will not tolerate any kind of restrictions. She commented that glass doors, huge iron barricades between the people and government vanished and real people’s government took charge.
Tamilisai on Friday addressed the Telangana state assembly and made a few key remarks. She said that Telangana is now enjoying freedom. “Change has just begun. I’m very happy to see the cabinet formed under the leadership of a young leader with the support of ministers with vast experience. Ours is not a princely state and we respect democracy. Chief minister Revanth Reddy had presented his vision in his public address during his swearing in. Special thanks to Sonia Gandhi and the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for making Telangana state into reality,” Governor in her address said.
Tamilisai said that the government is committed to fulfill six guarantees assured to the people within 100 days. She said that two guarantees had already been fulfilled. The District Selection Committee (DSC) (teacher job notification ) will be given in six months and the government will provide two lakh employment opportunities within one year.
She assured that strict enquiry will be ordered on irregularities at the Medigadda and Annaram project. Tamilisai opined that the financial situation of Telangana state was completely destroyed by the earlier government and assured a stable governance in future.
