Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the former Member of Parliament (MP) of Nizamabad and a member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) said, her life is dedicated to the public.
Ms. Kavitha, after losing the Nizamabad Parliamentary seat in the Telangana Lok Sabha elections, took to Twitter and posted a tweet congratulating Dharmapuri Arvind.
Win or lose, My life is dedicated to public.
I fought hard during T-agitation & as an MP worked sincerely for my constituency & will continue to fight for people of Nizamabad.

Dharmapuri Arvind, the MP candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) won the Nizamabad constituency with a majority of 45 % votes, whereas Kavitha gained only 40 % votes.
The major reason behind Kavitha’s loss could be an issue between the farmers of Nizamabad and Kavitha. The farmers of Nizamabad even filed a petition against Kavitha and the TRS for not fulfilling their demands.
K. Kavitha’s defeat could be a major drawback for the TRS, the ruling Government of Telangana and K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, for his third front idea.
The Telangana Lok Sabha elections were held on the 11th of April 2019 for a total of 17 Lok Sabha seats. The major parties, the BJP, the TRS, the Indian National Congress (INC) and the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM,) contested the elections.
On the 23rd of May, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the results of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections. As per the results, the TRS won 9 seats, the AIMIM 1 seat, the BJP 4 seats and the INC 3 seats in the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.
