On Friday, a man was killed after a tree fell on his car in Malad (West,) because of heavy rain. The victim is identified as Parag Pawaskar, who was traveling in a Wagon R.
The Mumbai traffic police said the incident took place at around 7 A.M., in Goregaon (West) near Dalmia College.
The BMC’s disaster cell was immediately informed about the incident. Soon, a fire brigade was dispatched to initiate the rescue operations.
“The fire brigade team cut a portion of the tree to pull out the driver stuck under the mangled car,” BMC’s disaster cell said.
The cops said the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared that he was brought dead.
