The Indian Under 19 cricket team has been unbeaten in the World Cup so far. They now embark on the journey to win the finals. Prithvi Shaw and his team managed to beat Australia and Pakistan to reach the top two spots. They will go against Australia again today.
The teams remained the same through out the entire tournament. The Indian U19 team has Prithvi Shaw (c,) Manjot Kalra, Shubman Gill, Harvik Desai (w,) Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma, Anukul Roy, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shivam Mavi, Shiva Singh and Ishan Porel. The Australian U19 team has Jason Sangha (c,) Jack Edwards, Max Bryant, Jonathan Merlo, Param Uppal, Nathan McSweeney, Will Sutherland, Baxter J Holt(w,) Zak Evans, Ryan Hadley and Lloyd Pope.
The match began at around 6:40 A.M., at the Bay Oval in Tauranga, New Zealand. At present Australia has finished its innings with 216 runs and all out. Shivam Mavi bowled out the Aussie cricketer to end the innings. India has a target of 217 which should be a cakewalk for the team with just an average of 5 runs per over.
The last time India played against Australia was during the first round of the tournament. India won the match by 100 runs.
