At least 20 people were killed in a Florida gay nightclub shooting. Nearly 42 others were injured in the attack. The wounded were immediately shifted to a hospital. A gunman opened fire inside a gay nightclub in the Florida city of Orlando, according to police. The police have not determined an exact number of casualties, but added that approximately 20 people were killed inside the night club.
The police said that the suspect exchanged gunfire with an officer, who was working at the club at around 2 am and then went back and took hostages.

The officials have sent in a SWAT team to rescue the hostages at around 5 am and the suspect was killed during the exchange of fire with the officials.
Multiple emergency vehicles have reportedly responded, including the Orlando Fire Department’s bomb squad and hazardous material team.
